The football season, has not gone to plan so far, but the Warriors got back on track with a 36-0 convincing victory over the Garrett Falcons Friday night at Rick Burns Field.
Both teams were 0-2 coming into the game, desperate for a win after sitting out the previous Friday’s game due to Irma. It was even more of an emphasis for Stall after losing the previous four years to Garrett, all in one possession games.
Friday was never in doubt though, as the Warriors special teams and defense controlled field position all night. Juwan Scott scored three all purpose touchdowns including a 68 yard punt return for a touchdown with under two minutes remaining in the first half to put the game away.
On defense the Warriors were led by seniors Mack Patterson with twelve tackles and three sacks and Vaneil Morehead with ten tackles and four sacks. Stall improves to 1-2 on the season and will host Military Magnet next week for homecoming on Friday September 22nd with a 7:30 Kick-off at Lynda Davis Field.
