The Stall boys soccer team punched their ticket into the postseason with a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Berkeley Stags at Lynda Davis Field. A physical game which saw several yellow cards and a couple of injuries, came down to a Stall goal in stoppage time to secure the 4-3 victory.
After a even first half that ended with a 1-1 score, the Warriors struck in the second minute of the second half with a their second score of the night. The Stags answered in the ninth minute to tie it at two. Stall answered with a goal in the sixteenth minute and the Stags again responded with a goal in the twenty-seventh minute of the second half. The teams traded scoring opportunities until the winning goal in stoppage time.
Also, the Warrior JV soccer team defeated Berkeley 8-3 earlier in the night.
The Warriors next play Monday April 25 against the Beaufort Eagles at Lynda Davis Field. JV Start Time 5:30 PM, Varsity Start Time 7:00 PM.
